So, I had no electricity yesterday. AT ALL. From like 2:30 pm until 5 this morning. ::sigh:: Twas not fun.
I missed the finale of Alice cause electricity makes the big box with the colors and sounds work. ::madface:: I'll have to wait until Sunday to watch since that's when its being shown again. (Bonus: Tinman is being shown to so that's something)
Also means I missed Nostalgia posts so two today.
Sadly, I'm not super happy Kat right now what with the ending of the awesome show that is ATWT so no real comments. Two really awesome musical numbers. :[
( The Count (as performed by Jerry Nelson) singing Batty Bat. )
( Cab Calloway sings Hi De Ho Man for Horn and Hardart (or Two-Headed Monster as performed by Richard Hunt and Jerry Nelson). )
::smiles a little::

Get down with your bad self, Bert!
I love this song and this skit. It's the original that aired in 1973. Bert is so awesome, srsly. I always enjoy when you get to see the full body versions of the characters! :)
( Doin' The Pigeon performed by Bert (as played by Frank Oz)! )
"See the one with feathers. Right behind...oh, you didn't see him. That was Bernie. He's really a character. I tell you."
::snorts and giggles::

First one with Kermie!!!!!!!!!!
Don Music and Kermit always cracked me up! This one is awesome. I always thought it was sad that Don Music was taken out of Sesame Street in the late 80's. :(
( Don Music (as played by Richard Hunt) writes Twinkle Twinkle with the help of Kermit the Frog (as played by Jim Henson)! )
"That doesn't make any sense! Stars don't eat!"
::laughing her ass off::

Dec. 1st, 2009 08:05 pmI'm pretty exhausted, you guys, lol. AND not done yet, lol.
Anyway -
So
wouldbedorothy and I were having one of our nightly chats while watching the awesome The Muppets: Bohemian Rhapsody. Got totally nostalgic.
Which got me to thinking about the fact that Sesame Street (which I seriously think should be required viewing for all children) turned 40 years old this year. ROCK ON PBS AND SESAME STREET WORKSHOP!
That lead to a search on YT for Classic skits and that brought me here.
For the next thirty days, I will be posting a total of 40 of my favorite Sesame Street sketches to laugh about and remember. I just thought it would be a fun thing to do, lol.
And I hope you guys enjoy it, too.
We're going to start off with a total iconic classic.
( Ernie (as performed by Jim Henson) singing )
::giggles::
I still know all the words to that song. That's nutty.
